That's a good polished documentary all right, but if you're a fan, I also recommend On the Trail of Ed Wood, where Conrad Brooks takes the viewer around some of Ed Wood's old haunts, especially his last residence in a less-than-charming neighbourhood. This is essentially a crudely edited, camcorder affair, but its ragged technical approach somehow enhances the tone in a film that covers those desperate final years.

I saw that back in 1993. Conrad Brooks appeared to have a lot of fun showing the (yes) camcorder around the Ed Wood hot-spots.
This fine documentary illustrates the pall which was Ed Wood and his haunted world.
