Thanks for the tip-- I've never read anything by Ellison, but I have seen the caustic so-and-so in interviews, esp. with Tom Snyder. It should prove to be an interesting documentary even for those unfamiliar with his work.
Yeah, I want to see that part where he was a gang leader in New York. Apparently he instituted the novel tactic of suing the other gang....
Damn good writer, though.
I have read a lot of Ellison's work -- went on a binge back in 1988 and again last year. Wow! What a writer, and one with some range.
Yes, we know he wrote the original teleplays, "Demon With A Glass Hand" and "The City on the Edge of Forever", but...
"The Tombs" is outstanding. And on and on...
